Alan grew up as an active member in the culinary community, and quickly turned his passion into a desire – and this desire was to become a chef.
Today, Alan is a successful chef and member of the Vancouver culinary community. He is the Corporate Kitchen Chef for Aburi Restaurants and the Executive Chef of Minami, an exquisite restaurant that provides an exemplary dining experience.

Alan is a perfectionist and strives to provide all of his guests with the best possible dish, so when we asked Chef Alan Ferrer why he uses Kamikoto Knives, his response was simple.
